    About Solar Project 2025 (RTHK)

    SOLAR PROJECT

Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK), which began broadcasting in 1928, is the oldest and the sole public service broadcaster in Hong Kong SAR. As RTHK's signature summer initiative for Hong Kong teenagers, this year's "Solar Project 2025" adopted the theme of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Its goal was to empower young students to master cutting-edge technologies, cultivate comprehensive qualities such as innovative thinking, excellent communication, self-confidence and self-reliance, a deep sense of national identity, and a broad international perspective, thereby shaping future "Solar Ambassadors."

With a shared vision to nurture future innovators and leveraging the robust facilities of the “Future School,” YWIES Zhejiang Tongxiang has been invited to serve as one of the organisers of this exchange programme.

The event sponsor, the B & P Foundation Limited, was established in February 2010 by Professor Yip Kwok-wah, Chairman of YCYW Education Network; and Dr Chan Po-king, CEO & School Supervisor of YCYW Education Network. It started as a non-profit organisation and has since evolved into a charitable organisation. Over the years, the Foundation has actively contributed to a wide range of sectors. These include social services, general education, policy research, youth development, cultural development, and international exchange initiatives.

    Participants and Exchange Focus

Over a hundred outstanding student representatives from Hong Kong gathered at YWIES Zhejiang Tongxiang for this activity. Accompanied and guided by Directors from RTHK and the Hong Kong SAR Government Zhejiang Liaison Unit, they collectively embarked on an in-depth learning journey focused on Artificial Intelligence and Innovative Media, thereby fostering a crucial platform for in-depth exchange and mutual learning among young students from both regions.
