We are delighted to announce the launch of the YCYW Scholarship Programme for the 2026-2027 academic year. Our scholarship programme rewards students for their achievements and recognises their motivation to succeed.
"We hope that through this new scholarship programme, we can fulfil the educational mission and ideals that YCYW has advocated for more than 90 years. We assume responsibility for nurturing the next generation of talents to be socially conscious and to develop critical thinking and leadership skills.
As we face the myriad challenges and complex international issues of the 21st century, we welcome students of different backgrounds from around the world to join us and learn respect and appreciation for other cultures."

Comprehensive recognition and multidimensional rewards:
The scholarship programme not only focuses on the academic achievements of students, but also values their outstanding performance in leadership and community service, as well as their professional talents in fields such as music, sports, and science and technology.
High-value scholarships to support dreams:
The amounts of these scholarships cover 15% to 100% of tuition fees, thereby providing strong financial support for outstanding students and enabling them to focus more on their studies and personal growth.
Transparent, fair, and rigorous selection:
The scholarship programme has a nomination-based application process, combined with dual evaluation standards of necessary and ideal qualities. This ensures that each applicant's strengths can be fully demonstrated.
Madam Tsang Chor-hang Memorial Scholarship
(Overall Achievement Award)
This scholarship recognises students with outstanding academic performance and encourages them to continue striving for excellence. Recipients will receive a 50%-100% waiver of tuition fees for up to two years.
Yew Chung Yew Wah Professional Talent Award
Sports/Music/Science and Technology
This award recognises students who have exceptional talent in specific areas such as sports, music, or science and technology, thereby motivating them to improve and excel in their respective fields. Recipients will receive a 25%-100% waiver of tuition fees for two years.
Depending of the professional level of the awardees, additional funds can be provided to support their professional development in the designated field.
Yew Chung Yew Wah Academic Award
Lower Secondary/IGCSE/IBDP
/A Level/HKDSE
This award has been designed for students who excel in Lower Secondary, IGCSE, IBDP, A Level or HKDSE programmes.
The award emphasises a combination of academic achievement and leadership. Recipients will receive a 15%-100% waiver of tuition fees. The period of support is up to 3 years.
HKDSE Scholarship Programme for New Students at YCIS & YWIES
This scholarship has been specifically established for academically outstanding students from external schools, who wish to join the YCYW HKDSE Programme. This award will provide a three-year or two-year scholarship to help students secure places at the top three universities in Hong Kong SAR, China.
All current and prospective students from the Secondary Sections of Yew Chung International Schools (YCIS) and Yew Wah International Education Schools (YWIES) in the Chinese mainland are eligible.
The Madam Tsang Chor-hang Memorial Scholarship (Overall Achievement Award), the YCYW Professional Talent Award, and the YCYW Academic Award are open to students in Y7-Y13 at YCIS, and in G6-G12 at YWIES.
However, all external applicants must first submit admission application materials and take the CEM (Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring) and CPT (Chinese Proficiency Test) assessments before applying for the YCYW Scholarships.
Students can apply for multiple YCYW scholarships using one application form.
After completing the online application form, students must submit the supporting documents to qualify. The review and selection process will be conducted in February, and shortlisted students will be notified by early March regarding the next stage of the scholarship application.
Internal Applicants
November 2025: Online application opens
December 2025: Application deadline (internal)
January 2026: The review of the applications and the interview process begins
February 2026: Determination of the scholarship awardees and the amounts they will receive
March 2026: Announcement of scholarship awardees
External Applicants
External applicants can submit applications at any time of the year. This flexibility requires a special recommendation from the Head of Admissions and/or Co-Principals. Without such a recommendation, all parties must adhere strictly to the established deadlines.
The YCYW Scholarship Programme is not only an financial support initiative, but also a means to inspire students to pursue excellence and achieve their dreams.
