    • Dear Yew Chung Family,

It has been a cold Hong Kong winter in the throes of a dogged pandemic. Mounting social curbs have been disheartening in this season of celebration. Yet, spring is around the corner to be soon followed by summer and its eternal promise of abundance and hope.

Our thoughts are with you whether separated from loved ones, alone, isolated by circumstance, or maybe grieving, tired, recovering and in need of a healing touch.

Isaiah 40:31 offers a timely reminder that when strengthened and renewed by faith "…they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary, they will walk and not faint."

It is faith that unites this family. Interlocking ties attest to our healthy diversity. As a curious, growing, and vibrant community, we have faced adversity in its various forms, always adapting and innovating. We have moved forward with purpose. In this rejuvenating fellowship we have rediscovered a common wellspring of love, friendship and support. Let’s all reach out and share that joy.

At Yew Chung our clock has never stopped running, with our teachers continuing to deliver quality lessons to our students and our entire staff working relentlessly behind the scenes in preparation for the series of events and happenings leading to our 90th anniversary celebration, we are as eager as you are, awaiting the return to normality.

The steadfast support of our ‘family’ has helped us endure. We in turn are embracing the less fortunate to ensure no child is left behind.

As the stunning fireworks closing the Winter Olympics boldly etched in the Beijing night sky, we are “One World, One Family”.

Stay safe with the accompanying booklet we have put together for you. This covers COVID-19 protocols and emergency guidelines for various situations.

      Very warmly,
