The year 2022 is a special year to celebrate. Not only do we ring in the Year of the Tiger, it is also a year that commemorates our 90 year of establishment. A time for us to reflect on our history and milestones as we continue our commitment to prepare young people to be torchbearers of changemakers, disruptors and compassionate leaders through our truly international education.

In Chinese zodiac, tiger symbolises resilience, confidence and fearlessness- characteristics that precisely mirror the principles of our Yew Chung Yew Wah network.

In the past two years, the COVID pandemic brought forth numerous challenges and reshaped our daily lives into a new normal. Yet the perseverance and strength demonstrated in our community has been an intrinsic part of the fuel contributing to the continual progress of our ongoing journey, also a key ingredient that drives us to lead the way to a bright future for humanity through education. As we move to a new year, with the saying goes “Every cloud has a silver lining”, echoing the spirit of a tiger, we will prevail.

While we step into this year of distinct and profound meaning, through our long and proud history laid in Hong Kong, the Mainland and around the world, we have championed a global, student-centred education. We are particularly blessed to be able to work with a school community that never ceases to grow stronger in various ways, to stride out of different hurdles in order to nurture a holistic development of our students and grooming their global perspectives with a mission to bring in positive changes to the society at large.

Chinese New Year is an exciting and vibrant occasion we look forward to every year. It is also a time for us to connect with family and friends (virtually or in person) to show our love and care.
