Dr Esther Chan, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (K–12 Education) of YCYW Education Network, recently gave an exclusive interview to China Central Television (CCTV) in celebrating the 29th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, sharing YCYW’s vision and commitment to the future of education.

Dr Chan highlighted YCYW’s commitment to aligning with the nation’s 15th Five-Year Education Development Plan. Guided by national strategies to attract global resources, strengthen Chinese education brands, and deepen international educational exchange and collaboration, YCYW will continue to advance quality education.

YCYW will establish Yew Wah School of Hong Kong in the Northern Metropolis. As the first school in Hong Kong SAR to offer an internationalised Chinese curriculum, it will further enrich the city's diverse educational ecosystem and strengthen its position as an international education hub. While ensuring strong alignment with the Chinese National Curriculum, YWS Hong Kong will also foster students' global outlook and English proficiency, supporting the Hong Kong SAR's efforts to attract international talent and deepen educational exchange and collaboration.

Looking ahead, YCYW remains steadfast in its educational mission. Drawing on its rich heritage and international outlook, the Network will continue to support the development of the Northern Metropolis and nurture future generations equipped with both a strong sense of Chinese identity and a global perspective, contributing to the long-term development of Hong Kong SAR and the Chinese mainland.
