    🔥 YCYW EDUCATIONAL LECTURE SERIES - 25/26 LECTURE 10

Topic: Beyond a Utilitarian Mindset, What Should Schools Teach in the AI & ESG Era?

The essence of education has never been the mere transfer of knowledge, but the awakening of the soul—this oft-repeated maxim has, in this era of AI’s rapid and unchecked advance, suddenly become a pressing question hanging over the heads of every educator. When ChatGPT can instantly solve complex maths, physics and chemistry problems; when AI-generated text is more ‘polished’ than most students’ essays; and when algorithms can precisely map out the ‘optimal learning path’ for every child, what exactly are we teaching our children? And how can we prevent education from becoming assembly-line production fed by algorithms?

    • Speaker Introductions:

      Dr Jia Jia Lim

Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management at Zhejiang University

      International Business School (ZIBS)

      Lecture Time: Thursday, 19 March 2026, 19:00

      📍Lecture Venue:

YWIES Zhejiang Tongxiang, 88 He Yue Avenue, Gao Qiao Town, Tongxiang, Zhejiang, China

      Sneak Peek at Lecture Highlights:

      • Business Cognition: Shifting from "profit-only" models to balancing social responsibility and long-term value
      • AI & Education: Identifying the core human skills—such as judgement and aesthetics—that AI cannot replicate
      • Cultivating Talent: Addressing the modern enterprise's need for multi-dimensional talent and responsibility-driven entrepreneurial spirit

Only when we harness technology through human wisdom, rather than allowing it to lead us by the nose, will education in the age of AI avoid becoming a mere appendage of algorithms and truly become ‘education for people’.
