We want to honour the stars of Yew Chung and Yew Wah—the pioneers, innovators, and champions who have ventured into uncharted territories and emerged victorious. To celebrate the boundless potential of our alumni, we are seeking nominations for this year’s Yew Chung Yew Wah Hall of Fame!

Do you know an alumnus/alumna who has smashed glass ceilings, revolutionized an industry, or made a real difference in the world? If yes, here is your chance to give them the recognition they deserve. We are seeking nominations for alumni who have demonstrated exceptional courage, creativity, passion, or determination in their pursuit of excellence. 

The nomination period to pitch your candidate is open from now until 21st August 2023. Please share with us their story of grit, growth, and greatness. Tell us why they inspire you and make you proud to be part of the Yew Chung Yew Wah family. The most compelling nominations with enthusiastic testimonials from their peers and mentors will make it into our pilot Hall of Fame cohort.

Help us unveil some of our best-kept secrets and unsung heroes. The sky is the limit. You can nominate anyone from star entrepreneurs to scientists, educators, thought leaders or agents of social change. Our illustrious alumni community has no shortage of role models who embody the spirit of progress, openness, and adventure.

Criteria for selection

1. A YCIS/YWIES alumnus or alumna who has graduated or left the school for more than five years is eligible to be nominated. For this nomination, we define YCIS/YWIES alumni to include those who studied at YCIS/YWIES for more than one year. 
2. The nominated candidates must have distinguished themselves in business or professional life or for significantly improving the lives of others through outstanding leadership, or have made distinguished contributions in serving the community through work or a volunteer programme, and have brought honour to Yew Chung Yew Wah.
3. Nominees must embody the Yew Chung Yew Wah spirit.
4. Each year up to five individuals will be selected from the nominations.
