Sustainable Innovation & Smart Cities" is a critical domain within the EdFutures Division of YCYW Education Network, dedicated to fostering urban environments that are both technologically advanced and ecologically responsible. This field emphasizes the integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) to enhance the quality of life, operational efficiency, and sustainability of cities。 It focuses on maximizing resource efficiency, supporting renewable energy, promoting carbon-neutrality, and reducing pollution。 The aim is to create zero-waste systems, decrease transportation needs, and encourage sustainable mobility, all while preserving ecosystems and promoting livability。 This domain also addresses the challenges of technocentricity, practice complexities, and the need for a more holistic approach to smart city development。 By studying and implementing sustainable innovations, the EdFutures Division prepares students to contribute to the creation of cities that are not only smart but also sustainable, ensuring a high quality of life for current and future generations.
